Description
1983. Growing up in the 1950's, there was talk (and some parents had them) of having bomb shelters in our back yards in case the Soviet Union attacked. Hmm. Maybe still appropriate....

I grew up on a 44 acre vandalized army base in Playa del Rey, California right next to the airport where it was handy so that my father could have his business close to LAX. to drive back and forth picking up and shipping out all kinds of animals even tigers and elephants. I was 11 years old then. We fixed the barracks and made a multimillion dollar business of the horse quarantine. Oh well just thought I'd gab!! Victoria
